Forza Horizon 5, developed by Playground Games and published by Xbox Game Studios, was released on November 9, 2021, for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC. Set in a vibrant, open-world rendition of Mexico, the game offers diverse landscapes and dynamic seasons, providing players an expansive and immersive racing experience.
Forza Horizon 5 has some fresh content called “Horizon Realms”, which is launching April 25th, introducing new cars and events and will feature across all platforms. You can read our full review here.
Have you ever been sitting there thinking I missed an opportunity with one of the Evolving World updates, and you missed a particular update? Well, fear no more. Horizon Realms allows players to explore a hand-picked collection of some of the community’s all-time favourite Evolving World updates.
These popular locations from past events are returning, offering fans the perfect time to relive those memorable moments in Forza Horizon 5. Whether you are cruising solo or racing with friends to cause chaos, there is something there for you.
The developers are bringing back a thrilling lineup of iconic tracks and locations that fans have learnt to love, and you can look forward to revisiting tracks like the Stunt Park: Oval Track, the icy thrills of the Ice Rink. You can get into a party mood with the Summer Party, Winter Wonderland or Día de Muertos, or if you like things a little brighter, you can light up the night with the Neon Airstrip and much more. I spent an extended amount of time on the Lunar Drift Arena and Stadium Maze, which made for some good, chaotic fun.
Suppose the 11 returning locations are not enough for you. In that case, Forza Horizon 5 is adding a brand-new track called the Stadium Track, which lays home to the Horizon Stadium Circuit. It is a permanent race route with fun corners, bends, and cool racing decorations.
It is ideal for drifting if you are like me and like putting it sideways. The track is here to stay and will show up on the main map with its event icon, and if you are a little more competitive, you can get your name on the rival’s leaderboard. I would have liked to see more variations added so you don’t get used to hitting the same lines on the track the whole time, but in saying that, it also brings out the competitive side in people.
Forza Horizon 5 continues to prove why it’s one of the most beloved racing games out there, with Playground Games showing no signs of slowing down on producing content. The Horizon Realms update is not just a nostalgic trip down memory lane but a celebration of everything that makes Forza Horizon such a great series.
Will you be returning to one of the fan-favourite tracks, or will you find me drifting in the Stadium Track?
