Milestone and MotoGP™ have released Beyond the Grid, a deep dive into the upcoming MotoGP™25. Developed for the first time in Unreal Engine 5, the new MotoGP™ video game will feature all the official content of the 2025 season, including great comebacks like the legendary Brno track in Czechia as well as the newest entry in the calendar, the Balaton Park Circuit in Hungary. It will also include innovative features that will allow both newcomers and pros alike to live the MotoGP™ experience to the fullest.
The brand-new Race Off game mode will enrich and diversify the experience more than ever, allowing players to test themselves on different bike types, a first in the franchise’s history. Just like real riders, fans will get to train across three unique disciplines with different physics and handling, available both in the career and as a single event. Each type of bike will sharpen players’ skills and will also unlock special rewards. It will be possible to choose between the:
- Motard, fast bikes useful to learn how to master speed and handling,
- the Flat Track, an off-road motorcycle that will challenge players to keep the control even in the lowest-grip conditions,
- or the Minibikes, small but precise two-wheelers that require a high level of accuracy to be mastered.
MotoGP™25 also marks the introduction of two different riding physics, which will allow everyone to race according to their preferences. The Arcade Experience is perfect for those who want to get right into the action without forgetting authenticity. The bike handling is more straightforward and there is no need to overthink setups and fine-tuning. It will give players a quick and accessible gameplay that still captures the essence of MotoGP™. The Pro Experience instead promises to be the pinnacle of simulation. Players will be able to tweak numerous elements such as bike settings, tyre management, riding aids, electronics, and fuel consumption. This is a more refined experience for those who want to feel the most realistic racing sensations.
They will particularly appreciate another novelty of this new instalment, namely a refined Bike Development System that will put performance improvements in the hands of players like never before. In this regard, communication with the team will be fundamental as players will be able to suggest changes to the team engineers in dedicated debriefs and post-race meetings. Once the bike has been modified based on the player’s input, it will be possible to evaluate the updates in designated test sessions, in a continuous pursuit of perfection. This feature once again takes the franchise to a new level of realism, allowing everyone to live a true MotoGP™ journey.
Elevating the experience even more, MotoGP™25 offers a significant audio enhancement. Bikes will roar louder than ever, thanks to an outstanding on-site, custom-made sound design that will grant the most immersive sound of the franchise.
Off the track, rivalries with other riders will be even clearer thanks to the revamped Social Relationships Management. A new HUD will help players better understand the status of each competitor, and anticipate their moves based on the evolution of their rivalry. Of course, everything will be checked by the FIM MotoGP™ Stewards, the race control system introduced in the last chapter which has now been updated to the latest regulations, while players’ behavior and results will greatly impact the opportunities available in the Riders Market during the off-season.
Regarding multiplayer, in MotoGP™25 players will be able to challenge each other both online and offline with the full Cross-play* available from day one, the new ranked races, the Live GP Championship* and the two players local split-screen mode.
Finally, the new chapter of the MotoGP™ franchise unleashes the creativity of its community through in-game editors, from the helmet to the sticker, the race number, and the butt patch, up to the new podium emotes, with the possibility of sharing creations with the rest of the world*.
MotoGP™25 will be available on April 30th, 2025, on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch™, and PC via Steam and Epic Game Store.
